fantasy FOOTBALL - Week 7 hot & not players
Hot & Not Following Week
6's NFL Games...
If you are in need
of a HOT fantasy football player
these Top Hot players for the week should help
you out if they're in your lineup. If you need
to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS
should be them. Fantasy Football always favors
the prepared mind. The more research you do,
and the more HOT players you
have to choose from on your team, the better
your odds are of winning your fantasy football
league outright this year.

WEEK 7 FANTASY FOOTBALL HOT & NOT
PLAYERS |
|
1. Philip Rivers |
HOT
QUARTERBACKS
The Chargers
have ditched their conservative offense
and turned QB Philip Rivers loose in their
last two games. Going on the road into
a tough environment will pose a whole
new challenge for Rivers and you should
not expect a repeat of last week's results. |
|
|
With just two NFL starts on his resume,
Leinart has shown enough to be considered
a viable fantasy starter this week against
the woeful Raiders. |
|
|
HOT
RUNNING BACKS
Henry ran all over the Redskins Sunday
and looks to have solidified, for now,
the starting job. If he is available,
go get him now or put in a waiver request,
as Henry has already proved he can be
an all-pro caliber running back in the
NFL. |
|
|
After doing virtually nothing in the first
two games, Drew scored four times in the
next three and has emerged as an explosive
runner and receiver. Against a Texans
team that has struggled to stop the big
play this season, Drew should have more
opportunities |
|
3. Marion Barber |
Barber doesn't get many touches and
rarely turns any of them into big plays.
But what he gets, he makes count. He has
scored in each of the last four games. |
|
4. Noah Herron |
With starter Ahman Green back in action,
Herron, coming off a strong Week 5 performance,
will see a drop in his playing time. Miami's
strong run defense should have little
problem slowing down the Green Bay running
game as well.
|
|
|
Lions DT Shaun Rogers has been suspended
for four games for violating the NFL's steroid
policy. Rogers is Detroit's best interior
lineman and the key to the team's run defense.
With Rogers out of the lineup, the Jets'
offensive line should have much more success
creating running lanes for Washington. Expect
a boost in the rookie's production. |
|
|
HOT
WIDE RECEIVERS
Count on Jennings playing a major role
in a Packers' passing game suddenly missing
two key receivers. With Robert Ferguson
(injury) and Koren Robinson (suspension)
both sidelined for the rest of the season, |
|
|
Fantasy owners should pay attention to Johnson,
starting in place of injured WR Larry Fitzgerald,
against a shaky Oakland secondary. With
Anquan Boldin drawing defenders away from
him, Johnson should face few, if any, double
teams. |
|
|
Rolling on his way to a career season,
Williams has become an automatic start
against a straggling pass defense. He
has finally learned how to use his 6-4,
214-pound frame to create mismatches against
defenders.
|
|
|
HOT
TIGHT ENDS
In only two games, Smith has become a
fierce red-zone weapon. Two of rookie
QB Bruce Gradkowski's four TD passes have
gone to Smith, who is averaging only 3.3
yards on eight receptions from Gradkowski
in two games. |
|
|
HOT DEFENSES
Coming off an outstanding game against
the Bears, expect the Cardinals' defense
to continue its hot play and dominate
a hapless Raiders' offense. In just five
games, Oakland's offensive line has allowed
a NFL worst 24 sacks. |

NFL
WEEK 7 FANTASY FOOTBALL HOT & NOT
PLAYERS |
|
1. Steve McNair |
NOT
QUARTERBACKS
Has McNair
ever been fully healthy? He was probably
suffering from turf toe the day he was
born. McNair is a risky fantasy starter
particularly after the firing of Ravens'
offensive coordinator Jim Fassel. |
|
|
The Vikings' vanilla offense keeps Johnson
from being a serious fantasy threat, even
against the vulnerable Seahawks. |
|
|
NOT
RUNNING BACKS
A high ankle sprain will sideline Williams
against Cincinnati -- and probably for another
month or so. |
|
|
Despite many rumors and requests from
his agent, Brown was not traded before
the NFL deadline. With rookie LenDale
White (flu) expecting to return to action
after the Titans' bye this week, Brown
will probably be inactive again in Week
8. |
|
3. Ahman Green |
Ready for his first action since Week 3,
Green rejoins a revamped Packers' running
game including newcomer Noah Herron. Though
he'll play a significant role in Green Bay's
offense, Green will now split carries with
Herron. |
|
4. Mike Bell |
Bell carried the ball just once for two
yards and did not catch a pass in Sunday's
13-3 win over the Raiders. After opening
the season as the No. 1 tailback, Bell
now has just six carries in the last three
games
|
|
|
NOT WIDE
RECEIVERS
Bryant had three catches for 27 yards and
suffered a cut lip when when he was hit
hard recovering an onside kick near the
end of the 49ers' 34-20 win over Oakland.
After a big first two weeks - eight catches
for 245 yards and a touchdown - Bryant has
come back to earth. |
|
|
Bennett (ankle) will be limited in practice
this week, but should be available In Week
8. Bennett's 60-yard effort last week was
his best since Vince Young took over at
quarterback. With the bye, this weekend,
he will have a few extra days off to recover. |
|
|
Mason continued to express his frustration
to reporters Monday over the offense's
lack of production. It remains to be seen
how the resignation of offensive coordinator
Jim Fassel will effect that production.
Last week though zero catches, and zero
fantasy points. WTF? |
|
|
NOT
TIGHT END
When healthy, Johnson has proved to be
a very UN-reliable fantasy tight end but
could see a fair share of looks in the
next three games (San Francisco has a
bye in Week 7 and Vernon Davis could return
by Week 8 but its unlikely).
|
1. Buccanneers Defense/ST |
NOT
DEFENSE
Don't count on the Bucs' struggling
defense to make a stand this week. Tampa
Bay's veteran unit has been exposed by
some younger, quicker and diverse offenses
-- which the Eagles definitely will bring. |
|
|
With the Redskins struggling in all phases,
the Colts have a chance to right their
defense. Washington will try to punish
Indianapolis' league-worst run defense,
but the Redskins have failed to consistently
move the ball with the run or pass.
