NFL Picks - NFL Handicapping - NFL Sportsbooks - SportBook Review - NFL Lines

Welcome to the New Generation of Sports Handicapping. After many years of hard work and dedication, our NFL handicapping guru's have become the leading force in the Sports NFL Predictions and NFL Handicapping & NFL picks Business. Most pro football handicappers & gamblers don't succeed making NFL picks in the long run because they use NFL wagering info and NFL betting stats already factored into Las Vegas pro football lines when making their NFL football picks & NFL predictions.

Our NFL predictions reflect a different approach to making NFL betting picks. We use our innovative Elimination System of Handicapping using Las Vegas NFL odds & NFL point spreads to look for indications in the NFL line as to which teams oddsmakers & insiders may think will cover the spread.
If you're placing NFL bets this season, increase your NFL wagering success and NFL bet with MySportsbook.com but first use our expert 2004-05 NFL picks & NFL predictions.

Wager On Football .com's NFL football handicapping experts will post NFL predictions on every NFL game with a straight up line. No NFL point spread, no NFL odds, nothing but THE WINNER and the correct NFL picks. Make sure you check back here for our weekly NFL picks and look for NFL lines as well. Last year Ciaran our NFL Football Handicapper did better than Jim Nantz of CBS Sports, and Brandon Funston of ESPN.com!!!

Some Handicapping Insight

Nov. 17, 2004

CINCINNATI (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) --

Jerome Bettis ran for 129 yards and Pittsburgh's blitzing defense created havoc in the second half in a 19-14 win over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Pittsburgh (9-1) overcame an out-of-sync first half and extended its winning streak to eight. It's the best start for the Steelers since 1978, when they had an identical mark en route to their third Super Bowl win in five years.

Ben Roethlisberger, who has earned comparisons to Terry Bradshaw during his remarkable streak of eight straight wins to start his NFL career, looked much more like a green rookie than a black-and-gold legend.

The Bengals (4-6) came at him from all sides, had a season-high seven sacks and forced him to make poor decisions. Three times he scuttled scoring chances by taking sacks, grounding the ball or fumbling.

It was up to a revitalized Bettis and one of the league's nastiest defenses to pull it out.

With Duce Staley (hamstring) sidelined a third straight game, Bettis came through with his third straight 100-yard game. He repeatedly bowled over tacklers during his 11th 100-yard performance against the Bengals, and he moved ahead of Tony Dorsett for fifth place on the NFL's career rushing list.

Eagles 28, Redskins 6
PHILADELPHIA (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Donovan McNabb tied a career high with four touchdown passes, and the Eagles improved to 9-1 for the first time since the 1980 season, when they opened 11-1 and went to the Super Bowl.

McNabb threw two TD passes to Brian Westbrook and one each to Terrell Owens and Chad Lewis. It was his second straight four-TD performance, fourth of the season and sixth in his six-year career.

Patrick Ramsey, making his first start of the season after replacing the ineffective Mark Brunell last week, couldn't revive the sputtering offense for Washington (3-7).

Owens became just the second receiver in NFL history to score 13 TDs in five seasons, joining Jerry Rice, who has done it eight times.

Packers 16, Texans 13
HOUSTON (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Brett Favre moved Green Bay into scoring position with a flawless 2-minute drill and Ryan Longwell kicked a 46-yard field goal as time expired. Favre completed 6 of 7 passes for 42 yards on the final drive -- the only incompletion came when he spiked the ball to stop the clock -- to complete Green Bay's rally from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

He finished 33-of-50 for 383 yards with two interceptions and a touchdown to Houston native Donald Driver in the fourth period. Driver had quite a homecoming, catching 10 passes for 148 yards.

Star running back Ahman Green was knocked out of the game with a rib injury in the second quarter, finishing with 15 yards on only five carries for the Packers (6-4).

The Texans are 4-6.

Bills 37, Rams 17
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Drew Bledsoe answered his critics by hitting tight end Mark Campbell for three touchdowns, and Nate Clements returned a punt 86 yards for a score.

It was a dominating effort by a Buffalo team (4-6) that has won four straight at home, but was coming off its worst outing of the season, a 29-6 loss at New England.

Bledsoe answered those calling for rookie J.P. Losman to take over as starter, going 15-of-24 for 185 yards. His only blemish was an interception off Lee Evans' hand in the first quarter.

The three touchdowns were the most Bledsoe has thrown since he had three in Buffalo's 38-21 win over Miami on Dec. 1, 2002.

St. Louis is 5-5.

Falcons 14, Giants 10
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Michael Vick ran for 104 yards and threw two first-half touchdown passes to Alge Crumpler to lead the Falcons (8-2), spoiling Eli Manning's first start.

After a shaky first half, Manning showed why the Giants (5-5) mortgaged their future on draft day. He led New York on two second-half drives that turned a one-sided game into a thriller. A 6-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Shockey got New York within 14-7 in the third quarter and another long drive set up a 24-yard field goal by Steve Christie with 6:29 to play.

Manning, the brother of NFL co-MVP Peyton Manning, had one final shot to stage a remarkable comeback, but linebacker Keith Brooking broke up a fourth-down pass to seal the Falcons' third straight win.

Vikings 22, Lions 19
MINNEAPOLIS (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Daunte Culpepper guided the Vikings on another second-half comeback, and this time the defense was good enough to make the rally count.

The Vikings, ending a three-game losing streak, shut out Detroit in the second half and overcame a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the sliding Lions.

Culpepper completed 22 of 32 passes for 233 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for Minnesota (6-4), which hounded Joey Harrington in the second half. The Vikings again played without Randy Moss (right hamstring).

Detroit's Eddie Drummond ran the opening kickoff back for a 92-yard touchdown, his third score in a five-return span after setting an NFL record with two punt returns for TDs in the fourth quarter last week at Jacksonville. But the Lions (4-6) dropped their fourth in a row.

Seahawks 24, Dolphins 17
SEATTLE (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Michael Boulware intercepted a pass by A.J. Feeley and returned it 63 yards for a touchdown with 56 seconds remaining.

It was the fourth time this season Feeley has had an interception returned for a TD, and his mistake spoiled the debut of interim coach Jim Bates.

Seattle (6-4) reclaimed first place in the NFC West.

Feeley, who hobbled for most of the game with an injured right hip, had just led the Dolphins (1-9) on a 48-yard drive in nine plays, and Olindo Mare's 39-yard field goal made it 17-17 with 2:20 remaining.

Titans 18, Jaguars 15
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Steve McNair returned to the lineup for the first time in a month, throwing a touchdown pass and directing two other scoring drives.

McNair finished 18-of-30 for 209 yards despite showing signs of rust. The reigning league co-MVP bruised his chest Sept. 26 against Jacksonville and aggravated the injury a month later against Minnesota.

McNair underthrew Drew Bennett several times deep, was picked off twice and was sacked three times -- including once for a safety with about 9 minutes to play. The safety gave the Jaguars (6-4) a 15-10 lead.

But McNair led a 59-yard touchdown drive in 37 seconds that put the Titans (4-6) ahead 16-15, and then ran for the 2-point conversion.

Ravens 30, Cowboys 10
BALTIMORE (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Down at halftime and playing without injured running back Jamal Lewis, the Ravens turned to Kyle Boller to ruin an inspired performance by the Dallas defense.

Showing the poise and confidence of a rapidly maturing quarterback, Boller threw two touchdown passes in the third quarter. Boller went 23-for-34 for 232 yards in his third straight game without an interception. The Ravens (7-3) have five wins in their last six games.

The blowout caused Dallas (3-7) coach Bill Parcells to finally summon Drew Henson after Vinny Testaverde hurt his right shoulder. Henson's first play as an NFL quarterback resulted in a fourth-quarter fumble that contributed to Baltimore's 30-point second half.

Broncos 34, Saints 13
NEW ORLEANS (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Reuben Droughns ran for 166 yards and a score, Jake Plummer threw for 224 yards and the Broncos stayed atop the AFC West.

The Broncos (7-3) have gone 12-12 to close out the last three seasons, but looked strong coming off their bye week. Denver had 389 yards in offense and held the Saints to one touchdown.

New Orleans (4-6) has dropped five of its last seven games, mainly because of a defense that is allowing almost 30 points a game -- second most in the NFL -- and the most total yards.

Jets 10, Browns 7
CLEVELAND (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Quincy Carter threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Justin McCareins with 5:32 remaining to give the Jets (7-3) an ugly win.

New York's LaMont Jordan, filling in for a banged-up Curtis Martin, rushed for 61 yards in the fourth quarter. He ground out 34 yards as the Jets ran out the final 3:55 to hand the Browns (3-7) their fourth straight loss.

Martin rushed for 88 yards on 17 carries. In the first quarter, he went over 1,000 this season and joined Hall of Famer Barry Sanders as the only players in NFL history to begin their careers with 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons.

Browns kicker Phil Dawson missed two field goals. He entered the game having made 27 in a row, the NFL's longest current streak.

Colts 41, Bears 10
CHICAGO (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Edgerrin James punished the Bears' defense with 204 yards on 23 carries, and Peyton Manning threw four more touchdown passes.

The Colts (7-3) feasted on five Chicago turnovers, four by shaky rookie quarterback Craig Krenzel, who lost two fumbles and threw two interceptions as the Bears' three-game winning streak ended with a thud.

James, whose career best is 219 yards set in 2000 against Seattle, scored on an 11-yard TD run with 42 seconds to go in the third quarter to make it 41-3. He sat out the final quarter, as did Manning, who now has 35 TD passes, 13 shy of Dan Marino's NFL record set in 1984.

Chargers 23, Raiders 17
OAKLAND, Calif. (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Antonio Gates had eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown, LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 164 yards and a score on 37 carries, and the Chargers won their fourth straight game.

Drew Brees passed for 226 yards and also ran for a touchdown to help the Chargers (7-3) beat the Raiders (3-7) for the second time in three weeks.

San Diego maintained a tie for first place in the AFC West with Denver.

Kerry Collins, who spent extra time in the film room during Oakland's week off, went 18-for-30 for 227 yards and two touchdowns and didn't throw an interception for the first time in nine games -- dating to last season with the New York Giants.

Buccaneers 35, 49ers 3
TAMPA, Fla. (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Joe Jurevicius scored his first touchdowns since last year's season opener, getting into the end zone twice on passes from Brian Griese.

The victory was the fourth in six games after an 0-4 start for Tampa Bay (4-6). The 49ers (1-9) have lost five straight and were held to just 197 yards offense, with Tim Rattay being sacked five times and turning the ball over twice.

Jurevicius, one of the key players in Tampa Bay's Super Bowl run two years ago, missed most of last season, as well as the first six games of 2004, with knee and back injuries that required surgery.

Jurevicius scored on catches of 9 and 42 yards, finishing with five receptions for 82 yards. Michael Pittman had his third 100-yard rushing effort in the past four games and scored two TDs on the ground.

Panthers 35, Cardinals 10
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Wager On Football Sportsbook Review) -- Nick Goings ran for 121 yards and three first-half scores and the Panthers jumped to a 28-point halftime lead.

Muhsin Muhammad added two TD catches, the first with just 2 seconds left before halftime, for the Panthers (3-7) -- who won their first home game of the season.

Larry Fitzgerald had a touchdown catch for the Cardinals (4-6), who couldn't overcome a first half of turnovers and penalties.
