I don't know about you but I'm fully expecting
an offensive fireworks show tonight at Paul Brown
Stadium for ESPN's monday night football (MNF).
The Pats are averaging 38 PPG and their defense
is looking dominant as always led by the rejuvinated
Junior Seau. Don't forget they don't even have
starters Rodney Harrison and DE Richard Seymour
yet, what is this defense capable of when those
two Pro Bowlers come back? New England is looking
to replicate last year's 38-13 destruction in
Cincinnati last season, and come into this game
on a 3 game winning streak. New England has looked
unstoppable offensively in the first three weeks,
with the duo of quarterback Tom Brady and wideout
Randy Moss sparking blowout wins over the Jets
(38-14), Chargers (38-14), and Bills (38-7).
The Bengals are back at home coming off two
straight losses, and last week lost on the road
to the Seahawks 24-21. Rudi Johnson was injured
in that game so does Marvin Lewis just decide
to not even have Kenny Watson on the field tonight
and just go 4-wide all night? I'd hope he does,
but then I own Palmer and Chad Johnson in some
fantasy leagues...LOL. The Bengals are not off
to a strong start, having followed up an opening-night
win over the Ravens with back-to-back losses
to the Browns (51-45) and Seahawks (24-21).
The Patriots have won the past two meetings
between these teams. In October 2006 New England
came out on top 38-13 as 6-point road underdogs.
The combined score of that game went OVER the
posted total of 46 points. In December 2004 the
Pats defeated Cincinnati 35-28, but didn't cover
the 11-point home spread in the OVER play. Bet
