POKER PLAYER TAKES ON PRO

Each week, the Bodog.com poker player who finishes first on the weekly Tournament Leader Board is given a chance to play heads-up poker against one of the two pros for $1,000. If one of the pros wíns, the money is rolled over. With the pros winning the last nine weeks, the stakes are higher than ever with a prize pool of $10,000. Bodog.com's Tournament Leader Board ranking system allows players to gauge their play against thousands of others. The Leader Board is based on a system that distributes points for top finishers in the numerous tournaments offered each week at Bodog.com. The criteria used to determine how many points each player is accorded includes: the number of players in the tournament, the buy-in level, and the individual player's final rank. Those players who finish in the top 20 percent of each tournament are awarded points.

Last year, Bodog.com guaranteed its online poker players more than 70 seats at the WSOP, a Las Vegas-based series of tournaments held over the course of six weeks. This year, Bodog.com is qualifying 700 players for preliminary and main WSOP events, which begin on June 25.
